This trail takes you into Riverbend Battlefield Park which is an important historic area in Palm Beach County. This is where the second battle of the Seminole Indian War was fought. The trails in the park are marked and the battle is explained. The paths are shaded in the park and good for bicycling and walking. From this park you can also walk on the Florida Trail.
It was great riding this trail in family. At the end you can find a Publix or a Plaza, and take a break there. Then go back. We park at the point where the App says. We started in the morning, so we lunch subs from Publix at the end of the trail. We saw many iguanas, turtles, ducks, birds, and many others animals. You can take a break any time you want under the trees. Maybe this is not a trail for super riders, but it is nice for a family ride.
Basically this is a big sidewalk with views to condominiums. Few views of the ocean. Very little nature.
Friend and I went roller skating, super smooth a great time!
If you have three to four hours and great sunblock, this trail is amazing to walk the whole way. Bring plenty of water! Looking forward to doing it on the bike.
Nice wide trail west of Fern Forest Park, a little buggy this time a year. We saw tons of iguanas, some ducks and a couple of baby owls. I do it again when the weather is cooler¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿
Not a bad trail, until you get to the final leg. Crossing under 95, takes you to a 5ft ceiling, after a decent rain it can be mostly flooded, make sure to be quite...don’t want to wake the homeless.
I ride with inline skates, and I’d say the trail was an 8 out of 10 for inline skating. It is such a pretty ride that is a great early morning ride for biking, skating, running, and walking. The pavement is smooth and clean, and there is a lot of flora and fauna to observe along all parts of the trail. There are a few intersections to cross but all have pedestrian-friendly crosswalks and lights. You get to ride through multiple tunnels that take you under I-95. I felt very safe the entire time and saw many others who were walking, running and biking solo. The only drawback was the section just north of Congress; the pavement was buckling and uneven and needed repaving, which makes it slow going for skating but would be no problem for biking. There are a few intersections to cross but all have pedestrian-friendly crosswalks and lights. A great way to start the day - just make sure to go early because Boca gets hot!
Nice path but the intersections are suicidal. On most of them the crossing sign doesn’t even work and people drive 50 MPH and cross without stopping. It could be perfect but we all want to live.
Cool place..from basketball court to trails back to bbq locations... fun!
My husband and I loved this path! He is 65 and I am 61 and we like a casual pace to enjoy the scenery and this was just that! Very flat, plenty of benches a long the way if you need to rest! The iguanas were amazing! We really enjoyed it and can’t wait to ride again!
