Lackawanna Rail Trail

great amount of shade

July, 2025 by theajean11

My fiancé and I enjoy biking . We start in lowman . This trail is in great shape and offers great shade from the sun . We rest on the bench when we want to. The interstate is beside the trail but in great company it’s easy to forget it’s even there

Catharine Valley Trail

ordinaire

July, 2025 by jojo.rivest

Pine Creek Rail Trail

Jersey Shore

671 Rail Road St. Recreational Parking is a great place to park and Start your ride from the south end of Pine Creek Trail. GPS took down slow in town not as nice. I found this one about 2 mile in.

Pine Creek Rail Trail

Beautiful Trail

June, 2025 by zap26

This is a beautiful trail. The upper half is much more scenic than the second half. This was my second time doing the entire trail. I got a shuttle to Wellsboro from Pine Creek Outfitters and biked back to the trail head in Jersey Shore. I didn't stop as much as I thought I would and do some of the hikes. It was brutally hot today. I am glad I did this trail again, not in the rain (which happened last time). Don't think I need to redo it again; I would rather check out some other trails in PA first.

Pine Creek Rail Trail

October 2024 Fall Ride

October, 2024 by thekauz

Riding this trail in the fall when the leaf colors are at their best and early spring before the leaves come out are the best time to ride this trail. You get a great view of the hills and valleys as opposed to riding in green “tunnels”. That being said it’s a great trail to ride year round.

Keuka Outlet Trail

Nice trail for views but very rough in spots especially in the middle. There should almost be a warning for road bikes. Bumpy.

Catharine Valley Trail

A bit of everything

October, 2024 by jenkinsbeth

Enjoyed it - very shady and currently a lot of leaves down on much of the trail but a nice gravel ride. Some sections the trail was 1 ft wide and others 12 ft wide, some finely crushed cinder and some even grassy. Is a rail trail with gradual climb going south and a couple of fun little hills/bumps. Signage is a little confusing - we took the road one direction but found the trail coming back. Does require a couple of on road sections.

Took our electric bikes on this path and it did not disappoint!! Path is well maintained and the scenery is just terrific. Highly recommend.

Lackawanna Rail Trail

Not safe

September, 2024 by priestman

I have walked & biked this trail for 2 years now. Within the last month, I no longer feel safe on this trail. Certain areas are very overgrown with the bushes. Several homeless encampments have been set up at different areas of the trail. Too bad something nice can’t be maintained.

Odessa-Hector Rail Trail

poor trail for bikes

Not a good or fun ride.

Catharine Valley Trail

Great Trail

September, 2024 by dhmckeeby

We biked the trail and it was a beautiful day to get out and ride. The trail was in great shape. There were several benches all along the trail to stop and take a break if needed. The leaves were just starting to turn colors and fall off the trees. We saw a few other people on the trail, walking, biking and enjoying the day.

Catharine Valley Trail

Good trail but!

August, 2024 by mey656321

Trail is a great ride with a slight increasing grade heading south. Majority of the trail is well shaded from a tree canopy. Trail surface is stable and smooth. Trail markers are pathetic! Extremely lacking heading south and somewhat (not enough)improved heading north.
