Two Rivers Trail

Gone Downhill...

September, 2020 by filegod

Not really a bad trail, no benches, restrooms or water, the last time I rode it there were so many homeless tents one after another you could walk on them and never touch the ground! you are right next to the river unlike the main bike trail though so it may be a good way to see tons of boats on the river on the 4th of July!

Yolo Causeway Bike Path

Shade?!?

September, 2020 by filegod

The only shade is from mosquitoes, there was no water, restrooms or benches, just call it a different view of the bypass with plenty of noise from the freeway, I turned back towards Sacramento about as soon as I crossed the bypass, my brother went into Davis, I think most of the riders that use it live in Davis and I guess it gets used by commuters, do not expect it to be nice as the American River Bike Trail...

5.5/10. Some parts were rocky and smelly.

Los Gatos Creek Trail

Great Trail, but crowded

September, 2020 by dangelo0909

We visit this area from Florida and recently discovered this trail. We love to bike this trail except for the underpass at the San Tomas Expwy. It is too narrow and more than once I have been forced into the fence or the wall by bicyclists who do not seem to care about other riders or hikers. The trail is more crowded than we like, but it is a nice ride along the creek and through the parks along the way.

Ohlone Greenway

Mostly good for roller skating, but the start leaves a lot to be desired

September, 2020 by lilly.arvanites

This is one of the best trails to roller skate in the Berkeley area, but lord if it isn’t tough the first half of the trail before you get to Albany—the pavement leaves a LOT to be desired, particularly by the westbrae nursery, and there’s ADA bumps/crosswalks every few hundred feet. However, I’ve found the last 3 miles or so are good for roller skating if you can endure the first part, and it’s easy to skate over/around the ADA bumps in the road.

Marsh Creek Trail

Different types of trail along the way

August, 2020 by ecvalen878

One end of the trail is near our house. We have the tree lined area, which is nice in summer. We have done other parts of the trail which are more open. Different parts of the year you can see Salmon spawning, after Halloween around Delta Road part of the trail.

Folsom South Canal Recreation Trail

Smooth, long, boring, isolated

August, 2020 by tdnishio

I parked the north end point, at the Nimbus Fish hatchery. There are 2 parking lots, the first has a timed gate that closes at 3 pm. The second, just the next parking lot, driving west, sign said Regional II, was open, no gate. There are no signs to the canal. I spoke with another biker who gave me the direction from the parking lot. Proceed west 2 blocks residential area to the stop light. Turn left, you will then see the canal with entrance on the right. There are mileage signs till mile 13. Thinking this was 15 miles trail, I kept going climbing thru the gate at Sloughouse, mile 13.9. I should not have. There are no mileage marker, there are difficult to see small markers on the asphalt. The canal trail soon ends anyway. The Park n Ride lot on Hwy. 16 can be used as a south starting point.

American River Bike Trail (Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail)

Beals Point

August, 2020 by kctmatsu

There is a $12 fee to park because it is a State Park. If you want to get to lake you’ll have a little walk because Folsom Lake is low right now. If you’re looking to jump on your bike and ride this is a nice starting point. We were there the first week of August and it was a little warm. I would recommend lots of water. The trail has some inclines so be aware you’ll get a little exercise. I would recommend this trail. It is paved and seem to be pretty well maintained.

Folsom South Canal Recreation Trail

A Good Place to Practice

August, 2020 by monika20s

A nice place for bikes without automobile or pedestrian interference. I completed my first 20+ mile ride done on this trail. One spot stunk like fertilizer. Almost 0 shade, so make sure you have your sun protection on.

Dry Creek Trail (Modesto)

very enjoyable morning

July, 2020 by gdmartin5_tl

Took the bikes out for the first time with the wife on her first ride and we decided to ride just around the house and slowly worked her towards the trail and she loved it and did the entire ride and worked our way back home nearly 10 miles on her first ride!! Beautiful riding with great sites.
