Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail

Plenty to see, plenty of nearby stops if you desire

October, 2025 by ljarrington

Easygoing, well traveled trail through beach cities with easy access to barrier Island causeways. Plenty of places to grab a meal near the trail. We tried and enjoyed Salty, Lime Cantina. Causeways provide stunning views of the harbor and were a highlight when we left the trail.

Legacy Trail (FL)

Beautiful trail

October, 2025 by teamvolin

We had a lovely afternoon biking this trail. It's flat except for the handful of times you go over a bridge to cross a busy road. We saw several gopher tortoises along the way, zero alligators so that was good. We rented our bikes from Legacy Bike rental which is adjacent to the trail. We were able to leave our car there which was nice.

Coastal Anclote Trail

Wide paved trail

Nice trail connecting 3 parks. One park has a nice fishing pier and another one has a beach. The beach park has big covered area with a bunch of picnic tables underneath. Nice ride through oak trees.

Starkey Wilderness Park Paved Trail

Wide and smooth paved trail.

October, 2025 by kippmich

We ride from the bike trailhead inside the park to the Suncoast trail. It’s right around 6.5 miles each way. Nice and smooth trail with many people using the trail with different modalities. Spotty shade before noon, would be pretty much full sun midday.

Fun Skate Trail

Super fun trail connecting three parks. Great for inline skating. Very smooth asphalt. Just a few road crossings. Very nice to see the Gulf. Definitely recommend to all the skaters !!!

Flatwoods Park Trail

Peaceful trail

July, 2025 by rockieslights

We've ridden this trail for more than 20 years. Wildlife is a little more sparse these days, although we did see a deer and a turkey last week. It's a 7 mile one way loop (add 2 miles from the Bruce B Downs parking lot or 0.6 miles from the Morris Bridge Rd. entrance). It's in a fast growing area (New Tampa) but it doesn't take long to get away from civilization. There are some off road trails as well. It can get busy with fast riders and skaters. Parts of the main trail are going to need re-paving soon, but ample water stops and pleasant scenery make this one a lot of fun.

Really pretty trail with great views and not too many inclines. Good workout but also super scenic and a great length. Highly recommend!

Starkey Wilderness Park Paved Trail

Great Trail for Cycling

May, 2025 by rdoehring

Very well maintained. Smooth ride. Approximately 6.5m from Lot 8 to East trailhead. Connects into the Suncoast Trail on the east end. About 80% sun so wear sunscreen and bring water. Saw dear. barred owl, woodpecker. Highly recommend

Upper Tampa Bay Trail

More than the Rocky Creek Bridge is closed.

May, 2025 by clanders

And the construction closure zones are quite large, IMO. Best stay off this trail in 2025 if you are biking and want to ride uninterrupted for more than 3 miles. 2 star rating as is, but I've done 15 miles o/b on this trail in the past rather enjoyed it.
