New to this

November, 2025 by sytnsmvkbf

Just found this trail by accident. It’s s just a beautiful, peaceful trail that I can enjoy on my bike ride without worrying about car traffic . The country within the city. This will be one of my favorites for sure.

Southwest Greenway

Decent

IT's an okay trail, but as it's so short, it's only real use is to connect to the Detroit Riverwalk, otherwise skip it.

It's not bad, but really only worth it if you're a local.

Clinton River Park Trail - Macomb County

Hilly and Narrow

October, 2025 by clonetrooper5373

It's a mostly shady trail, with a few moments of sunshine to be found. The trail becomes very narrow and twisty south of m59, so be careful in this section.

Clinton River Trail - Oakland County

Washed Out

October, 2025 by kjhgfd

Sad to say it's been over a year, and the best section of this trail is still closed. It was a great connection to the Macomb Orchard Trail. Any info on a fix would be greatly appreciated. Would like to help out in any way possible.
Detour route has heavy traffic.

Wadhams to Avoca Trail

Great Trail

October, 2025 by lee2980

We ride this trail on a beautiful fall day. It is very smooth and suitable for most any bike. I was comfortable on my ride bike and the wife was fine with her hybrid. Trail is heavily shaded in most place. Scenery is mostly wooded, with some wetlands and meadows mixed in. I would recommend this ride !

Polly Ann Trail

From Dryden South

September, 2025 by normkern

The map and all the text on the website indicate that the trail in Lapeer county is 20 miles long. I am told that all 20 miles is mowed regularly and evidently all the bridges and tunnels are in place. It all may be suitable for horseback riding or hiking or cross country skiing, but only the 4.5 miles south of Dryden has any sort of trail that cyclists would opt to ride. That segment is prepared gravel and well worn single track, intermixed. The web site needs to expressly note that is is the only segment cyclists would enjoy. The Oakland county segment is wonderful.

Macomb Orchard Trail

Needs maintenance

August, 2025 by mwskibike

This used to be my favorite trail to ride. I still ride it often as I live nearby. HOWEVER...this trail is in need of maintenance. I mostly ride Richmond to Romeo. Trees need trimming - they are overhanging from the sides and from overhead (have to duck under). There are a couple holes in the trail - the ground under the paved trail has given way and the black top has fallen in the whole - broken leg for a runner who doesn't see the hole. There are a couple spots where the embankment is giving way and the edges of the trail are collapsing. Either bridges have risen or trail has sunk - there are some rough transitions. Several of the split rail fences that are bridge approaches have collapsed.

Clinton River Trail - Oakland County

won’t do it again because the trail is terrible on South Boulevard and Opdik

August, 2025 by simonsays60

The trail is lovely from Sylvan to Bagley and then you turn left on South Boulevard and it is all torn up and dangerous. You have to cross Woodward and drivers are very rude. OpDyke is not much better, but then you get on nice pavement at the Apple orchard Trail. The gravel is very course on that trail and I turned around at crooks. Auntie really needs to improve its sidewalk if they want in tourist to come through.

Stony Creek Metropark Trail

Good Workout

August, 2025 by clonetrooper5373

This mostly sunny trail offers pleasant scenery while running along side vehicle traffic, so bring some noise cancelling ear buds. It's also a little hilly and the pavement can be kinda rough in certain places, but otherwise this is a pretty good trail

Paint Creek to Polly Ann Trail Connector

So-so

August, 2025 by clonetrooper5373

It's an okay urban trail with some brief nature moments but otherwise there isn't too much to this trail
