Good Neighbor Trail

We liked it!

January, 2022 by blthomas411

Tried this trail today. Came in from the Withlachoochee Trail. Only went about six miles on it because we had a way to go to get back home. Nice, smooth ride with very few other riders. Want to go back and do the entire trail next time and we will come in from the Beooksville end. Could definitely use a restroom and a place to get water along the trail. Other than that, it was a nice ride!

Withlacoochee Bay Trail

What A Surprise!

January, 2022 by 6pqh2ckmr7

Great ride! Only car Traffic was parking lot! This was a very nice ride. Straight to the Gulf of Mexico! We’re from Louisiana so it was nice to see the Gulf again with no hurricane. Hahaha! Loving the Florida Sunshine State!!!

Suncoast Trail

Suncoast

If you are looking to use a racing bike and just get a ride in, this would be the trail. It is a smooth ride and well maintained. It is not for the casual rider. There isn’t much shade, water stations or even stops. You will find a noisier ride since you are paralleling a major highway. The one great surprise is at approx 4 miles north of 56, you will find an entrance to Starkey Park where you can take a peaceful ride in the park.

Spring to Spring Trail

Great ride & amenities

December, 2021 by marilynmeeske

We parked in Lake Beresford Park and rode south to the “current” end of the trail which is Rob Sullivan Park. Lots of shade, great parking and amenities (bathroom, water) at both ends. Highly recommend. Round trip is approximately 18 miles. This trail has curves and hills. Felt great!

Connector Trail … more like a sidewalk

December, 2021 by marilynmeeske

We rode the northern section of the trail, from DeLeon Springs to W. Minnesota Street. A good portion of this trail is a narrow sidewalk. We had breakfast at Ponce DeLeon State Park (you cook your own pancakes) and then we hit the trail. Next time we will ride the next segment that starts near Lake Beresford Park. We checked it out, lots of amenities.

Palatka-to-St. Augustine State Trail

Great Ride

November, 2021 by loveymac

Rode this today starting on the east end into Palatka and back. Saw maybe 10 people on the trail the whole time. Lots of beautiful canopied sections. Since it was not sunny today the other sections were just fine. Will definitely ride this route again!

Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway (Santos Trailhead to CR 200)

Beautiful Ride

We rode this trail today and it's one of our favorites so far! Smooth paved trail, we saw a deer, turtle and snake!

Good Neighbor Trail

Nice trail - no facilities

October, 2021 by rrjdickinson

Rode the trail this morning and it is a nice ride. Low grade hills and mostly shaded. However, there is no potable water or open restroom either at the Brooksville trailhead or where the trail meets the Withlacoochee Trail. Restrooms in Brooksville are closed due to vandalism.

General James A. Van Fleet State Trail

Serene ride

October, 2021 by jillwinchel6

We started at south end in Polk City and biked 8 miles north. There is plenty of parking and a restroom about .5 mile in. Nice wide trail with benches along the way. Plenty of tortoises! We also saw turkeys. We crossed a dirt road and a major 2 lane road on this section. 1/2 mile markers are painted on the trail. Mostly shady and so quiet-only heard the birds. Asphalt trail was mostly smooth but did have some bumps and rolling areas. I would bike it again if in the area.

This trail is definitely relaxing with the natural wildlife makes it wonderful. A straight well maintained asphalt bike trail. A great spot to ride your bike and not have a care in the world. Not a heavy over populated trail with tons of people who don’t know the rules of biking. Lots of shade riding the 30 miles one way. If you don’t like serene, middle of nowhere type of trails, then this is not for you.

Spring to Spring Trail

beautiful trail, needs some maintenance.

September, 2021 by juli8

This is one of the most naturally beautiful segments of trail in the area. That said, there are many segments that are not complete yet, and there are many segments that are showing their age, with treacherous rough surfaces, cracked pavement, potholes. The whole area could use some love, but it’s so beautiful. Better suited to walking/jogging than cycling simply because it’s twisty and worn out in places.
