This trial is pretty rough due to all that loose stone, so if you go on a bike, a fat tire one is prob best, or perhaps walk this one?
Pavement is rough and there's nothing to see maybe either walk this one or skip it entirely.
This is a good asphalt trail, a little choppy in places but well maintained otherwise. Flat as a pancake and not a lot of cover. The bridges and parks at Midland were very nice.
Very pretty out of Midland. Then we were surprised to see a barricade and had to get on the highway. Then got back on at about mile six. The road gets bumpy then. You are close to the highway much of the way. We stopped in Coleman and had ice cream and pizza. A place called mamas pizza. We only did 20 miles each way. We were told that it’s pretty much the same scenery of trees and some farmland all the way to Clare.
The most boring trail I've walked. To close to traffic, nothing interesting to look at.
Husband and I rode from Midland to Sanford and back. Smooth, flat ride. Shady areas to stop and bathrooms along the way. Stopped at Midland Brewing Company on our way back.(Had entry right off trail with bike racks!) It was a great ride!
Did this trail for the first time today. Very nice, but short. We started from the parking lot of Ray's Bike Shop. Out to the end of the trail and back to Ray's was just under 13 miles.
My wife and myself enjoyed this trail so much. Very smooth and well maintained trail.
We rode from N. Bradley to Midland and return. Lots to see. Midland did a great job being bike friendly. The 14 foot paved trail is great ( there are some cracks that could be filled). Great bathrooms well maintained.
Have seen many hunters along this trail. It adjoins a lot of private property where people hunt and discharge firearms. I would strongly suggest you stay only on the asphalt trail and do not venture off it. It is very nice though.
Generally this is a nice, flat ride. Had lunch at the unique Leah's Corner Cafe. Enjoyable and pleasant ride with decent shade.
