Bruce Vento Regional Trail

Nice trail, needs maintenance

July, 2022 by rdosterlund

My experience would be much more pleasant if I had fat tires on my bike, but I ride a bike with thin100 lb pressure tires, so the cracks every 20 feet make for a rough ride and slow my pace. Lots of cross streets.

Hardwood Creek Regional Trail

My favorite ride

July, 2022 by rdosterlund

Love this trail because the pavement is smooth riding and there are relatively few road crossings. Far outshines the Gateway because of both of these issues. Not the most scenic.

Rice Creek North Regional Trail

Nice trail but signage needs work

June, 2022 by andersrick

We rode the trail today. While we liked the trail we were frustrated by the lack of signage in certain areas. T intersects with no signs, goes out to residential streets with no signage. It got frustrating having to stop and check out location on maps.

Mississippi River Regional Trail (Dakota County)

beautiful trail with potential

June, 2022 by xg8hhpc4nq

Beautiful views of the river, some nice shaded parts and some areas to pull off to see the views or read about the area. The only downside is that processing plant smells are overwhelming at times.

Soo Line Trail - Southern Route

Paved Portion from Onamia to Isle

June, 2022 by mboerner2

The 11-mile paved part from Onamia to Isle is rough due to freeze/thaw cracking, every 30 feet is a bone-jarring crack and some big bumps occasionally. Also the paved trail is scattered here and there from gravel from the adjoining ATV gravel trail. Nice and flat through the wooded prairie and bog. 2-mile Section from Waukon to Isle is better pavement. Scared up a huge black bear which surprised me but the bear ran the other way. Best with mountain bike but doable on road bike, bring a spare tube.

Cannon Valley Trail

good trail

June, 2022 by s.schwarzrock

Rode the cannon falls to Welch section. Easier going east towards Welch than coming back. Must be a very gradual climb. But not hard at all. Very nice canopy most of the way with plenty of sunny spots mixed in. Will do this trail again but may start at Welch and go to red wing for lunch

Chaska Ravine Trail

Confusing

June, 2022 by harrison.wah

I began this ride coming from the south on the Bluff Trail. I got lost near Lake Jonathan, doubled back a few times and just got frustrated. I was so on a road bike and I wasn’t sure if the trail actually was supposed to go on dirt trails. I gave up and took the road (Pioneer Trail) home from Chaska to Eden Prairie.

Cannon Valley Trail

A great trail!!

June, 2022 by markrichw1980

The trail is meant more for cyclists; you'll find more people on bicycles and (to a lesser extent) roller skates than people on foot. But it is still fun.

There's a lot to see such as the remains of Camp Pearson, archaeological sites, historical plaques, nature and even loads of wildlife. There's no shortage of bugs (bring bug repellent!) as well as birds, rabbits, squirrels, deer and even otters.

You have plenty of places to rest as there are benches to relax, toilets and water fountains for refreshment. If you are a beginning hiker, this place is a handy trail for cutting your teeth.

Luce Line Trail

Very scenic and fun trail! Not too crowded. Rode from Downtown Minneapolis. Be sure to look for the small sign right off the trail near Plymouth, MN for Trailhead Bike Shop and Luce Line Brewery!

Minnesota Valley State Trail

Most of this trail from Shakopee to Chaska is under water due to flooding. Completely impassible!Otherwise the trail would be really nice.
