There is no vehicle parking at either end of the trail. Other than this, this is a great ride.
First time here. It's quite a wide trail, full of walkers, bikers and some runners and dogs. There are no restrooms on this trail, so make sure you're empty before starting. I will come again and will use this trail to get me back into running again.
Easy ride with a slight uphill to lower Peter’s Canyon Trail. 16 mile trip from home to the Walnut Trail, Peter’s Canyon Trail to West Irvine Trail
We are at the northern section on of the trail that stands alone. Will be great if ever connected to the longer southern section. We are staying at Rancho Jarupa RV Park (great place). You can ride 2 miles right out of the park along a peaceful street/turn right at the signal on the sidewalk of the bridge over the river to the dog park. From there you can go 10 miles to the south end of the trail. It does follow the river but lots of areas need clean up of dead trees etc but still a great ride. (Not much bothers us). Some homeless camps by the water in one area but no bother.

Took the path from LA sierra to Main Street and back. Around 11 miles, it's pretty easy. No hills. 9/26/24
Started to get bored so I bought myself a bike, I came out here to these trails, first I started from fairmount park in riverside and made my way north on the trail from there made it to the 10 freeway and back with no problems other than the heat( carful out there guys take water), as for the other bikers, all out there you’ll see them remember to say hello ! There were homeless on the trail next to the river but I had no issues with them. Definitely five stars from me, mostly because there was a vast distance to cover and I got the workout I needed, coming back for sure!
Great location but an overwhelming amount of homeless along the route. Alot of places smell like piss or weed. Better to look for another trail
New experience after all these years of cycling and blading. Went with family to ride bicycles. We start behind county records located at 222 Hospitality Ln. Too many homeless with dogs. A white dog chased us on the bike trail between county records and industrial buildings next door. It's worse on the weekends. Apparently, the homeless know that there is no security at night and on the weekends. Do not leave your car there.
This is one of my go to short and quick rides. I start from Valencia park in Jamboree and end at Peters Canyon trail head. It's a beautiful trail with a mild slope.
About 4 miles of paved trail from walnut to Sand canyon. Runs along metrolink railway and there is a park along the way if you want to take a break. I started from west point Irvine in Jamboree then took Peters Canyon from Bryan to Harvard and Walnut trail. It was 13.6 miles of nice relatively easy ride.
