Great ride on a Saturday mid - day. Went north from Washington’s crossing to bull island on NJ side over the pedestrian bridge and back on the Pa side. Be aware that on PA canal path there is a closure about 3 miles south of new Hope, right by the graves of Washington’s crossing , to continue the loop to NJ you either need to double back to Cross at new Hope or ride on rt32 south a few miles to return to the canal path.
Wow. Was very bumpy. A couple of trees were down. Started at Dingmans ferry. Went north. Lots of hills! Had to stop at Zimmermans Farm Road. It got too narrow from there. Exhausted!!
Was a very easy stroll. The parking lot has about 5 spaces and the path is fully paved. The trail is entirely flat and nicely winds along the creek and then in and out of a neighborhood. I clocked it at 1.8 miles out and back. The 2 small bridges can be very slick when wet so take your time.
Great trail. Well maintained and marked. Traveled from southern terminus to Green Park Lane. Loved the change in surfaces. More tressels than I expected which made for excellent photo opportunities. Only one real climb. Can't wait to do it again.
Snakes, bugs, overgrown, not maintained, trail ends, unmarked, Waste of time!
Me and my older sister go on it at least twice a month and at in the afternoon the sun isn’t beating down on you but it’s still bright and sunny
Ride this trail in May 2024 quite nice a few bumpy areas however when you cross the road it goes to partial pavement nice trail only to get near the end and someone stopped me and said I was not allowed to bike their so I turned around . If anyone could shed more light on why I would appreciate feedback , otherwise nice trail would have liked to take further .
If your biking it is a little bumpy and a short distant trail .
I did this trail in May after heavy rain and some me areas need attention but the things you see were worth the small problem areas such as water / mud . Not many places to go to and get food that I seen . Overall worth the ride very cool old steel bridge , streams and rivers .
Great trail very picturesque plenty of eateries along the way , deli by 206 you can detour a bit into Kittantinny park take a nice ride through and come out by Andover airport & lake Andover watch the planes . Also some eateries in Andover overall nice ride but in May they were doing some work on a portion that is near Andover .
Nice short run trail views of bridges , water go under an overpass cool graffiti and at the end in Branchville plenty of eateries within a few tenths of a mile .
