Wonderful trail

November, 2023 by barbscondo

We parked at the first trailhead closest to I-295. That is designated Mile #1. The first 2 miles does not have a lot of shade but after that it is a beautiful tree canopy! We are from AZ so love the trees! About 6? Miles in is Camp Milton. The best part of the ride! Traillink shows the turn off and a little circle of tail within the park. Keep going!! What it doesn’t show are all the beautiful concrete winding paths in the Park. They go on and on through the trees. And then we stumbled on the most wonderful mile or two of boardwalk built above the forest floor floor and winding in the trees

Jekyll Island Trail

One of East coasts best!

November, 2023 by kimberlyhere

My husband and I bike Jekyll at least once a month. We start out at the Marina where there is a good family restaurant with pub food and cocktails. Nice views off the back and very social with the boaters coming and going. The trail is mostly paved a little dirt thru the woods. It’s a loop so I love it! Lots of oceans views, many places to stop for a eat or drink. Lots of butterflies, and birds. Some shopping, tons of history and benches to rest and take in nature. Give yourself the day! You could zoom thru it in a couple of hours but why! So much to take in!

Black Creek Trail

October 23 - Looks Like the Bridge is out

October, 2023 by pcturner0277

Traveling US 17 to the trailhead at Black Creek Park the bridge was coned off and caution taped with a sign saying trail close. About midway the bridge was collapsed in one short section. We went to the trailhead and walked south to the water and then north to the next intersection so Yoo-Hoo could stretch her legs. The trail wasnt that appealing as it paralleled US 17 with a lot of side street and commercial driveway crossings to contend with. The traffic noise was also a factor. Its probably more of a good neighborhood trail but not one to do for an enjoyable recreational ride.

Timucuan Trail

Nine miles now

October, 2023 by jn4wznbwb8

The bike pedestrian bridges and trail between Little and Big Talbot Islands have been completed. It’s now possible to ride 9 miles continuously from Fort George Inlet to the North end of Big Talbot Island. As of October 2023, the pedestrian bridge from Talbot to Amelia is still closed and in need of repair.

Great Trail

May, 2023 by eguydjr

Great trail, I only planned on riding 1/2 but the wife got ahead of me & we went all the way. Made the turn & it started the heaviest rain I've ever ridden in. we stopped at stations & under passes then stood in the rain as we waited for the train to pass. Finished up after the rain quit for a great ride.
