East Central Regional Rail Trail

Christmas EVE 70 miles

December, 2020 by bigdon911

Nice trail to ride and three different options to take. I did Edgewood to Titusville and back, total 70 ‘miles. I stopped at the Philly Cheese Steak restaurant for a good cheese steak, the place was very welcoming. Decided not to do the Cape bridge but should have, next time. The pit stop at the intersection is catered to cyclists with water, fruit, bike kits, everything you will need for a ride. It’s an honor system so donate as much as possible VERGIES PITSTOP THANK YOU I NEED THAT cold water and banana. Will do the trail again to complete a century ride which this track is designed to complete. Trail was nice and clean and full of nature with animals. Many’s snakes and turtles. A couple of gators in the creek

Palatka Urban Trail

Nice urban trail

December, 2020 by drfredlee

The trail officially begins at N 1st St and Main. This part is not so interesting. The interesting part starts at the railroad station and going north and then west from there. Parking is easy at the railroad station, too.

St. Augustine to Palatka

December, 2020 by kmsill9599

This is a nice trail running from St. Augustine to Palatka. We started at the trailhead in Vermont Heights and we rode to Palatka. The trail is well maintained, smooth and restrooms along the trail. We enjoyed this trail very much and if we’re in the area again we would probably ride this again.

Nice ride to Palatka from St. Augustine

December, 2020 by kmsill9599

Rode this trail from St. Augustine to Palatka last week. It’s a nice trail, smooth and wide and well maintained. There’s restrooms/water along the trail. Parts of the trail parallel a busy road/highway so take care in crossing as the trail crisscrosses the highway. We rode to Palatka and had an early dinner. It was a nice trail! Bonus was going past the town of Hastings, Florida where it was called, Florida’s Potato Capital!

I love this trail

December, 2020 by claywebster

Really nice trail. Two feed stations which is so nice that people set these up for the trail users. I did this on two separate days to complete. Lots of variety of landscape, some is forested, some swamps and some open but rural sections. Just great overall.

really great trail

This trail was wonderful. Very smooth ride, not very many people and beautiful scenery. I rode from Hastings to the north end and back. I will ride this again.

Palatka-to-Lake Butler State Trail

Perfect luck for a late Oct ride

October, 2020 by wallbaumt

Weather was unusually perfect at 70F for our ride, a small cool window. I could imagine the cooling of the forest canopies on much hotter days. Trail was exactly as described and suited me and my wife very well. I think we had more Fall debris on the road than expected. Four stars from us. Started at trailhead Twin Lakes and headed both ways eventually to put on the miles.

Ponce Inlet Trail

this is not a trail, it’s a sidewalk

September, 2020 by cgczyc969b

It’s a sidewalk, we have them everywhere in the greater Daytona beach area. It is a pretty ride though

Edgewater rotary park to maytown

September, 2020 by wellell

Road the trail today. 11 miles into the trail as you cross maytown road the trail is under water. Prevented me from getting to maytown spur. Beautiful ride. Sun and shade.

Keystone - Palatka - great trail

September, 2020 by jimbocollins3

Great trail, we started from Twin Lakes parking area in Lake Geneva. Bathroom and lots of parking. Excellent surface, half shaded. We went the 20 miles east to end of trail (the mile markers are incorrect at this point, the trail ends at the "6" mile marker, eventually it will go into Palatka - hopefully). Presently you would have to jump on the highway (100) to go into Palatka. We rode back through Keystone to the end of the trail a few miles the other side of Keystone Heights. Did not find the Hometown Restaurant, but a nice lunch at Clydes (only open until 2 pm).

Spring to Spring Trail

Lush to Rush - North Orlando Gem

August, 2020 by packattackfour

Deep pockets of lush vegetation and eternal springs interspersed with four-lane vehicle parallels make this trail a notch below a five. Take in all the glory of live oaks, turkeys, sabal palms, gators, deep green springs to offset the noise and speed of the bustle of the road on the Lake Monroe leg.

We dropped in at the parking area just west of Gemini Springs, then headed east to Green Spring, taking in the Debary Hall on the way out and the Enterprise Museum on the way back for a little East End history tour.

The west trek delivered us at Lake Monroe to a boisterous boat landing, then back to the lot for a 17-mile RT journey. Finished with a Sanford Farmer's Market visit and a Smithwicks at Sullivan's to finish a glorious Saturday in late August.

You'll never find nirvana with all the cars between the two spings on this let, but you will find a great slice of Florida. Soak it in.
