Parked at Belmar and biked down (literally) to Fishermans Cove and back then up to Van and returned back at Belmar. Trail is mostly shaded. Several wooded bridges along the trail crossing Sandy Creek, they seem to be showing their age with some loose boards. Mays Mill tunnel short, do not need a light. Coasting back from Van is a breeze! Sandy Creek and Allegheny River water levels low. Saw one doe and fawn.
River flowing good since recent rains. Biked from Franklin to Sunnyslope and back, 12.5 miles each way for a 25 mile round trip. Not much shade.
Started at Kane. The trail was unmaintained after mile 4.7. I then went to the Kinzua bridge state park and rode to 219. A nice trail
Surprised to find the closure over the Mahoning Creek just north of Templeton. Looks like it has been that way for a while despite a recent review not mentioning it. No detour posted.
Beautiful ride into Brandon and back. Path is paved and maintained.
The trail was ok. My goal was to do the full trail 32 miles out and 32 miles back (Blacklick to Ebansburg), however the incline heading east was more than I could take on a very hot day so I turned around at mile 22. There were a lot of signage explaining towns that were once in a location. I think I pictured in my mind these abondoned towns were there were at least foundations left or something. It got boring after a while. Glad I did it, don't need to do it again.
Rode from East Brady to Kittanning. Very nice trail, well marked and extremely well maintained. It was worth the 2.5 hour drive to ride it.
Nice trail, a tree down across the trail about 4 miles up from parking lot when I'm writing this.
I love this trail! It’s local and once you get 3 miles in there’s almost no traffic!
One of the nicest paved trailed around! Clean, maintained, courteous trail users. No bathrooms, but, jeez, pee at Sheetz!
Great trail no matter the season. June 2025 a warm and sunny day. This trail offered 85% shade! Just a few short areas that isn't fully shaded. Trail follows Oil Creek, asphalt paved trail surface in very good condition except for a few bumps. We parked in Petroleum Centre and biked North to Titusville and back. Had lunch in Titusville took some side streets to a restaurant. There's several eateries in Titusville as well as trail services...dollar store, convenience store. We frequent this one in the summer due to the shade!
