Loved the Gulf Islands National Seashore Park section. Stopped along the route to walk the beach and Fort Pickens. Enjoyable afternoon

Gulf Oak Ridge Trail

Great bike trails in Gulf State Park!

This is one of many trails in the park. All trails are well maintained and take you to different areas of the park. Download trail mail before you set off so you can follow your route. Highly recommend!

Eastern Shore Trail

Limited recreational trail

The section of the trail between Fairhope and Daphne is broken and heaved concrete and dangerous! Beware. East of Barnwell we made a wrong turn and eventually dead ended in Weeks Bay. That mistake proved to be the best part of this ride - scenic along with a bike lane.

Navarre Beach Bike Path

Best Bike ride ever!

February, 2020 by wkopp59

Views are amazing! Ride is amazing! The Mardi Gras parade at Navarre was also today so to and from we were driving through crowds to get to the trail but so worth it. We brought our bikes. We always look for potential rental for when family and friends visit but didn’t see rental although there may have been in either Navarre or Pensacola Beach and we just didn’t notice.

Mobile Airport Perimeter Trail

Black Water Heritage trail in Milton, FL. is a flat, short (10miles - one way) trail that winds through Milton and then ends our near the Naval Aviation area. It’s an easy, fun little paved trail, away from traffic and the noise of the highway.

My husband and I took this trail and loved having the ocean on one side and the sound on the other side. Breezy, beautiful, and not difficult. Can’t wait to go again!

Blackwater Heritage State Trail

September Ride

September, 2019 by crowculbertson

Rode the trail today parking at the visitor center (5533 Alabama). I rode north thru BWHT and the Military leg. Very enjoyable and well maintained. Water fountains and bathrooms available along the way (did not test the fountain or facilities). Rabbits, snake and squirrels in abundance. On my return from military base gate I rode past the visitor center south across Hwy 90 (difficult but with pedestrian signals). It is a nice activity bringing some diversity to a regular Navarre Beach day. I did not take advantage of the visitor center but from signs I felt it was open. I would ride this trail again and again.

Okay for walking and Sunday riding. Not good route for training. Too many cross streets. Tree roots pushing up the asphalt.

This trail is part of a great trail system in Gulf State park. I suggest that you stop at the visitors center for a map of the entire network as it's easy to get lost
