Wadhams to Avoca Trail

Scenic

August, 2026 by robglassiii

This trail is a comfortable ride and pays off when you get to the old railway bridge.

Macomb Orchard Trail

Thank you!

July, 2026 by mwskibike

Thank you to whoever removed all the downed trees on the Macomb Orchard Trail west of Armada! Now if we could get the county to trim all the overhanging branches and vegetation from the trail.

Macomb Orchard Trail

Still needs maintenance

July, 2026 by mwskibike

As I said a year ago, this trail needs maintenance. Trees and bushes need to be trimmed. Sinking pavement needs fixing. Trail is getting rough in spots - assume from under trail tree roots. I trimmed a bunch of overhanging branches (and got "Thank You" from about 6 people), but no way can I trim all the branches from the whole trail.

Macomb Orchard Trail

Macomb Orchard

July, 2026 by csbstar

I rode this trail on July 11, 2026. Note: Beginning of trail is closed. Trail needs maintenance, looks like it has been neglected. Over hang needs trimmed, some areas bumpy. All in all a good ride. Signage would help a lot.

Southern Links Trailway

Very nice trail

July, 2026 by gpwwhg2z25

Definitely worth doing. There are frequent road crossings and it is very straight. More trail diversity would be better. Cute towns along the way.

Kettering Gateway Trail

Connector Trail

I'd only use it to jump onto Genesee Valley Trail myself, otherwise I'd recommend skipping it.

Harger Line Rail-Trail

All Sun Here

July, 2026 by clonetrooper5373

There's almost no shade to be found on this trail, so break out a long sleeved shirt or sunscreen.

You'll be surrounded by crop fields the entire time on this trail, so if you want to sightsee, look elsewhere.

Otherwise, this is a pretty good trail.

Bridge to Bay Trail

Needs a ton of work!

June, 2026 by trish.mcclanahan

Rode from Marine City and turned around way before we made it to St Claire. Asphalt is laid in maybe 10 yard sections. So there is a seam between every section causing the brain to rattle every 10 yards. Most of the trail was in the sun along a busy road. New to MI and had hoped to find the trail hugging the river a bit more to see the tankers. Also, the lack of signage made it very confusing causing us to stop several times to consult the map.

Macomb Orchard Trail

Down trees

May, 2026 by sytnsmvkbf

Rode this trail today starting at West Rd and 26 mile. Within 20 ft there was a downed tree blocking the pathway managed to get me and my bike through it. Experienced two more downed trees along my journey and did the same until I got somewhere in Armada and could not proceed any farther. This tree was too big to get through. Overall, this was a lovely 31-mile ride; I enjoyed the trail's peacefulness. Wish I could have finished the rest of the trail to Richmond but maybe next time.

Wadhams to Avoca Trail

Good Trail

May, 2026 by clonetrooper5373

This trail offers a mix of sun and shade, frequent road crossings. Half the trail is hard dirt/stone and the other half is asphalt.

If you're in the area looking for a good trail, this is definitely one to consider.

It's not bad, but really only worth it if you're a local.
