The trail is flat and smooth, with no cracks or bumps that I remember. It’s rarely straight, being full of twists and turns.
It is *very* hilly especially near the YMCA parking lot so be ready to shift gears in a jiff.
Boardwalks and small lakes help break up the scenery a bit, and road crossings are rare.
This trail hosts mountain bike trails within its boundaries that intersect with this trail, so use cation and keep your eyes peeled.
It’s a good 8+ mile journey that I would recommend traveling to visit.
This is a short 6-mile round trip jaunt. The trail is smooth and flat throughout, composed of gravel.
While it’s not hilly (it’s a flat trail) the elevation was enough for me to drop from 7 speed to 5 speed for the duration and it went fine after that.
There isn’t much to see here except endless power line towers (similar to the ITC Corridor in Novi) which stretch the entire trail.
All in all I do think this is a good trail and look forward to returning one day.

You’ll spend most of your time in an urban setting except for a brief stint in a wooded section that ends far quickly for my taste.

There are no benches, trashcans, or water fountains on this trail, so be plan accordingly.
Signage gives warning about the possibility of ticks on this train, so maybe stick to the main path, ignore any offshoots, and don’t brush against any plants.
I found the trail to very enjoyable from start to finish, with my only two complaints being: it’s rather short, being maybe six miles roundtrip, and the other being that the surface is dirt and stone, so unless you have a gravel, dirt, or fat tire bike, you might want consider walking this one.
Road crossings are rare.
I would recommend the trail to anybody looking to avoid an urban trail and connect with nature.
This is an excellent trail, bar none. It is an predominantly nature trail, with no real urban distractions like cars zipping by. It is 99% smooth and free of bumps (with the only exception being miles 8 through 10 by Weatherwax trailhead being a little rough).
Road crossings are somewhat frequent, so be on the lookout for those.
Benches and trash cans abound for those who need them, and mile markings also can be seen throughout the trail.
Sculptures been added to the last two miles, adding to the scenery.
There is an extender to this trail just past the Concord trailhead, adding about another mile or so to the experience if you're up for the full ride.
I can not recommend this trail strongly enough.
Those looking for a good nature trail need go no further than FWT.
The trail is perfectly smooth, with no bumps or pothole that I recall and runs mostly straight throughout. It starts off completely nature oriented with a switch between nature and urban fairly quickly, so if you're looking for a fully nature experience, you might want to try the West Bloom field trail that's just a few miles down the road. The trail is also rather short, clocking in at around 12 miles (round trip).
With that said, this is a very good that I very much enjoyed and look forward to completing again.

The trail is mostly smooth (barring the odd bump) but can be somewhat hilly, so get ready to possibly shift gears. Both roads that comprise the trail are highly trafficked, maybe bring some earplugs?
The trail is smooth and mostly flat, with a round trip of about 3 miles. Be cautious as you travel, as the trail intersects with several neighborhood entrances/exits.
There isn't too much to say about this trail except that it's an admittedly smooth ride for bike riders, but other than that, Valhalla doesn't offer interesting to either see or do; so if you aren't a local, I wouldn't bother. The experience is not even 3 full miles (round trip), so it's over before it even begins.
This brief trail is a mix of a brief segment of nature that quickly gives over to an urban setting, linking with the Baw Beese trail. The trail is mostly smooth, with a few plant roots breaking through the asphalt. It's best used as a walking trail, as it ends too quickly on a bike, unless you head down the Baw Beese trail as well.
On recumbent trikes, we recently rode about 15 miles of the North Fork; 5 non-paved miles on the far west end, and 10 paved miles on the eastern end. We did not ride the middle section around Wauseon. We also rode the 10 paved miles of the South Fork. The unpaved west end of the North Fork was in very good shape, much better than many parts of the C&O Canal Trail. Any bike with wider tires should be able to enjoy it.
No one has commented on the number of road crossings on all the trail sections. In the 62 miles of trail, there are more than 75 road crossings! Just when you get pedaling up to speed, you come to a road crossing. Some road crossings are very busy, with lots of cars coming fast. Others are not. You have to slow for each one to be sure.
A very nice trail and very worth riding.
