I rode my bike on this trail in November, 2025. The surface was in good shape. The trail did cross may driveways into businesses and homes, as well as crossing some streets into subdivisions, none of which was a problem. The traffic noise did not bother me. I feel that it just comes with the territory of a trail alongside a highway, and then let it go. Since I did get off I 75 to bike this trail, I ended up parking at Publix Super Market, which was about midway on the trail, rather than driving to Archer. I also biked the spur or loop that included the Veterans Memorial Park. I rode a total of 26 miles, which took me about 2 1/2 hours.
Did the entire trail out and back. The east end has some roots and patchwork. The rest of the trail is an excellent condition. Could use better signage where you cross major highways. Be sure to take the new spur over to highway 100. Beautiful ride.
Loved this trail. Overall, I would rate the pavement quality as being very good. Yes there are some bumps and lumps, but that is to be expected when you’re riding deep under tree canopy. And yes, there are some hills! But this is central FL! expected for Central Florida.
We road from Maytown to Osteen grabbed some breakfast and headed back. (32 miles round trip) The trail is in perfect condition. No standing water. The weather could not have been any better. It was actually a little cool in the morning with the shade but warmed up on the way back with a perfect mix of sun and shade. We saw some large turkeys and a good size alligator on the side of the trail sunning.
Great ride. Beautiful scenery. Felt safe on trail. Not too busy
Saw tons of wildlife, trail is in great condition….a true gem for Pam Coast.
This is a great trail. Paths are smooth. There are a lot of people on trail-I found them very respectful. We came across Ginger Ale springs, very cool. Worth a visit. Restaurants along the way. A must ride.
This is great, long trail, especially for biking. However, it would be even more perfect if they’ll be more twist and more entries because it’s a bit long for walk or ride.
I started the trail in Hamilton. It is paved from there. Unfortunately no good parking. Very smooth and a lot of shade. Road just over 40 miles in July. Would definitely recommend. Needs more parking areas and places to take a break.
We love this trail and take the day to stop at all the different places to enjoy the trail even more!
I rode it down and back from Sorrento - part way into the Wekiva Trail. The trail is really nice in the middle - oaks, and parks, very pretty.
The southern end could be skipped as it has a lot of busy street crossing. A good place to start would be the Rooms To Go parking lot at mm 2.75.
There are2 tunnels under roads that are nice.
Street crossings could be marked better, need to pay attention when crossing - look for a No Vehicles sign and double yellow lines on the path at intersections (some are very faded). The path may jump sides or turn off, need to be attentive.
