Perkiomen Trail

Trail is in great condition

July, 2025 by bermandab

I rode today - 7/6/25 - from Oaks about 3/4 of the way to Green Lane Park and back. My first time on this trail in a couple of years. I know there may have been some extra maintenance after storms recently but I found the condition of the trail to be the just about the best that I can ever remember. I ride a mostly road bike which sometimes struggles if the gravel gets too deep or loose in places, but a really smooth and enjoyable ride start to finish today.

D&H Rail Trail

I've ridden the trail from Simpson to Buck's Falls which is outside of Starrucca. The trail is well groomed until you hit the other side of Ararat. Then you run into ballast stone and coal silt. No ballast stone or coal silt from Simpson to Ararat.

Capoolong Creek Wildlife Management Area

Tough Condition

July, 2025 by z4g9gshqpr

Saw the last review on this stating trail was dangerous and in need of maintenance. Was hoping some improvement wouldve been made but the Coopalong is still in tough shape. A lot of trees down with large stretches of the trail covered with overgrown weeds. Id especially avoid the southern half closer to Pittstown.

has potential to one of the best trails in mid Atlantic

May, 2025 by edmunter

Parts of this trail are incredible. You feel like an early pioneer venturing out beyond the frontier. You are stunned by the natural beauty of the Delaware river. You imagine the grinding of receding glaciers that carved this beauty. You hear the echos of an earlier time. The forest is dense, lush and alive. Groundhogs greet you. Birdsong awaits you. Locals are friendly However parts are hellish if you’re attempting to bike it. Even hiking the bike is dicey and dangerous. Our ortlieb saddle bags fell into the Delaware river at one point. We managed to fish them out by some kind of aquatic miracle It’s also full of Lyme disease carrying ticks so watch out The trail need a make over Any billionaires out there who have a spare penny to repair it, please help!

Not a bad ride if you are already riding in the area , not much to see and very short .Not to far up is Port Jervis watershed park area several miles of paved road leading to a look out out the city of Port and various off path trails ( rough terrain )

Pompton Valley Rail Trail

Beautiful and Clean!

May, 2025 by lds7_tl

The finished portion in Pequannock is a great place to walk. Road crossings are clearly marked and the entire length is flat and paved. Look for colorful plants along the way and even an original cement marker from the railroad days.

Perkiomen Trail

A delight

April, 2025 by wlexieart

Aesthetic wise a very pleasing experience, everything a trail could have, parks, picnic areas, woods, rural roads, bridges, town, connector trails. Mostly flat with one incline for good measure. Long or short rides . A true delight, a fave!
