Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail

Great Biking Weekend!

August, 2025 by bespo09

Biking this trail did not disappoint! Shout out to Metroparks and Cuyahoga Valley National Park for maintaining and connecting the trail. We started at the Boston Mills Trailhead /Visitor Center and used the train in both directions…$5 and they did load our e-bikes. Scenic, charming, and good surface. Stayed at Richfield motel. Convenient.

Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail

Best trail in Columbiana County.

Nice, well maintained trail. The section from Lisbon to Teegarden is especially beautiful, although there is a bushier section that is on road, albeit a less traveled back road. A short detour at Teegarden will take you to a covered bridge.

Sippo Valley Trail

Great trail-Massillon to Dalton

July, 2025 by vicki1960

We cycled the trail in its entirety located in Wayne & Stark Counties. Trail is mostly wooded providing a good bit of shade and also scenery of open fields/farmlands. Surface switches between crushed limestone to asphalt pavement. Some of the limestone was loose and other areas down to the dirt. Trail has many short bridges along it's 10 mile length. Very clean trail, zero trash and grass was cut. Dalton end of the trail you take streets into town. Massillon end is under a bridge. We ate a place near the trail on Bison Street which had sandwiches and cold drinks. Clean establishment with friendly service as well.

No bathrooms located near the parking ¿¿ lot which is free …¿¿¿¿

Panhandle Trail

Nice ride

Very nice trail. Asphalt in great condition, except from Mc Donald to Falls Mills which was decent crushed limestone. Grades were very gentle, all1% or less. On a Monday we passed someone running or biking every 5-10 min. Overall a great experience

Zoar Valley Trail

Newer Section

Completed the newer section on July 9, 2025 and was disappointed, I was fortunate to find thanks to an out of state visitor parking at trail. Was peaceful and when the leaves change would be more scenic.

Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail

good choice for hot day

July, 2025 by dianefarmstronger

Aside from there not being a place to grab a bite close by in Washingtonville (ended up at Fat Ted’s which closes at 2) this was a good choice for a high 80s day. Lots of shade and beautiful. Could use better trail markings in Leetonia where we needed help finding the trail.

Great Allegheny Passage

Riding on this was a bucket list trail. Had hoped to ride further on it but had time restraints. Great trail. The rest stop in Meyersdale is wonderful. Plan someday to return and ride more of it.

Conotton Creek Trail

June 2025, nice trail, not much shade

June, 2025 by vicki1960

We traveled 100 miles to this trail and really not impressed at all. Reading from the other reviews I maybe expected more. Though it is a nice scenic trail, there are a lot of trails out there that are nicer and more scenic. There really isn't much to see. We parked at M/M 6 in Scio. Traveled east to Jewett at mile marker 11. One covered bridge, zero shade on this section. It was a hot sunny day. Too hot, too sunny. Not much in Jewett. The trail grass was well taken of, recently cut and there are trash cans along which appeared to be regularly emptied. Coming back into Scio we refilled our water bottles and headed the other direction, West to Bowerston. A few more covered bridges and maybe 5% shade cover. Not much to see along this section either. There was quite a bit of noise coming from some industrial sites just off the trail. I think there are some well traveled roads near the trail and not many trees to muffle the sound. Checked this one off the list, worth riding once but not a do-over.

Great Guernsey Trail

Great Trail

June, 2025 by tomc1973

7 mile trail that is very straight, very flat with sections of shade and sun. There are a handful of roads that cross the trail so stops are at a minimal. There are several structures and benches to stop and relax at. The first part of the trail runs between a swamp and later the Leatherwood Creek with the back end running along OH State Route 265. There is a good size park at mile 6 that has some parking. The trail dead ends at mile 7 with no access for vehicles. There appears to be room for expansion beyond mile 7 someday.
