I road the trail the few miles of it NW out of Elmore and then back to just the other side of Lindsay. Nice flat trail and relaxing country / farm scenery.
This is a wonderful trail for walking! 99% of it is paved pathways that you share with bicycle riders. There is plenty of space for everyone. Beautiful scenery with bridges crossing over little rivers, and creeks. There is even a separate fitness trail that is a packed gravel path with stops along the way to do various exercises like pull ups or core crunches or push-ups or stretching. I enjoy this part of the Metropark in Cleveland immensely.
I enjoy the view on this trail. Plenty of benches to stop and take in the lake view. The path along the water needs some repair.
I know this Trail better than any other in NE Ohio. It’s beautiful. Great hills, long slopes in cool dark woods. Some wildlife and scenic rivers. It’s crowded at times with some who aren’t aware of their surroundings. This can be a challenge. Otherwise, I believe this old school portion of the Emerald Necklace is still a gem.
Twice now we have had to get off the trail for a tandom axle tank truck to drive down the trail from CO. RD. 74 to the Elmore golf course to pump out their ports johns and drive back down the trail to CO Rd 74. Not only is this dangerous I would think this would be damaging to the trail and in violation of the no motorized vehicle signs. How can this be stopped. This is a beautiful trail. I would like to see it stay that way.
And what a surprise! Smooth. Covered for long stretches. Elmore offers a fantastic trail-side bike shop - SpokeLife Cycles. Low traffic. Few cross stops. Park in Elmore. Ride east as far as you like. Return. Arrive back before 2:00? Get some quiche at the local diner - Christy’s Corner Cafe.
I enjoy this trail whenever I’m in the area. It’s well maintained. Scenic with lots of wildlife - watch out for chipmunks! If you don’t stop at Fast Eddie’s in downtown Belleville for a draft, you’re missing out! (They have excellent food too!)
Unique and beautiful. Loved the wetlands and lily pads, as well as the fields. Well maintained.
I ride this trail frequently. It is very well maintained with a super smooth asphalt surface. Depending on the day and weather there can be other walkers, runners or roller bladers but I rarely find it problematic. You can extend the trip all the way up to Lake Erie which is an awesome way to spend a day. This is an amazing, safe ride that is a must-do. I love it.
This is nicely maintained by the Metro Parks. It runs mostly through neighborhoods and some woods. There are some crosswalks over cross-streets which slow down progress if you’re looking for a workout. Very nicely done.
I’m out for the ride and beauty this trail was breathtaking in a lot of areas … people seemed very pleasant and it was easy to ride … what was a small drawback for me was you do ride gently down hill and it’s is more uphill coming back.
Smooth, shaded, easy ride path. Good for kids.
