Don’t miss this one. The views are amazing of the water and birds. It can be windy but you’ll fly going the opposite way. We rode from Clearwater Beach and used connecting trails to ride this one. Even if you just ride end to end and back, it’ll be a great ride. The little rises and not steep at all so don’t be worried at all.
Used this trail on our ride from Clearwater Beach to Tampa and back. It’s so great several trails are connected to make such a great route. Highly recommend.
Another great ride on the Pinellas Trail. I love that the detours are well marked. I also like the signs over the trail with the town names. If you make it to St Pete, don’t miss Dr BBQ. It’ll make the trip even better. There are several overpasses this direction so be prepared for a little shifting of gears. ¿ However, they are very short and you get the downhill, although the traffic engineers took the fun out with all the speed bumps.
We loved staying in Clearwater Beach and using this trail to access the Pinellas Trail riding North one day and south the next. It’s pretty well signed if you watch closely. The only negative on the trail was that someone had cut the air hose on the air/tool station at the bottom of the bridge. Hopefully, it’s monitored and will get fixed soon. Great views from the top of the bridge!
Nicely maintained, smooth trail through the wilderness area. We started out on the Good neighbor trail and the road north from there on Withlacoochee. Did 35 miles RT Total. Lots of shade and some nice benches or picnic tables. Yes, plan on drinking your own water, so pack accordingly.
Great ride today over the Causeway to the Pinellas Trail. Then took it north probably pretty close to the end, north Tarpon Springs. The detour scheduled to be open March 1 probably won’t open as it wasn’t near completion today but the ride around is easy and well signed. Came back on the trail and rode out to Honeymoon Island as well. The trail wasn’t super crowded. This a great trail and there are many great eateries along the way. Highly recommend Ed.
This trail is awsome. Love the water supplied. Nice trail smooth, the path is nice and wide.
Fun ride, well maintained paved surface. Several points of interest along the water. Saw nesting bald eagles. Nice to ride away from the highway noise. Highly recommend this beautiful trail.
Beautifully laid out trail with benches strategically placed and restroom facilities. Fabulous area to view nature in all its glory!
Great little trail with plenty of shade, ample parking and spectacular sunset viewing opportunities from either of the county park trailheads.
I live 5 min from this trail and my family and I have gone bike riding and running on it. I just picked up roller blading as a way to change up my fitness. If your into biking and running this is the trail for you but if you like rollerblading I would recommend another trail. I parked in the fitness parking lot and skipped going over the bridge. I would rank the road here about 6/10 lots of cracks in the road and the pavement is uneven in most places I would assume because of tree roots but it’s still good for rollerblading. I made a right at the crossroads to head toward the dump. This part of the trail is terrible. Very rough for rollerblading.
