Great Trail! smooth surface, lots of curves and gentle grades made for a very pleasant ride. We have ridden trails across the country and would rate this one behind only the Mickelson Trail in the Black Hills and the Heritage Trail in Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore in Michigan.
My husband and I rode this trail for our first time today. It’s a very nice, level trail with lots of shade. There are mile markers posted along the way which is pretty nice. I saw a handful of bike maintenance stations to air up your tires, small repairs. The only bathroom was located just north of where the trailhead entrance is on the east end of the trail. There are benches along the path. I wish there were a couple of picnic areas, but that’s just me! We parked at Belle Terre Parkway and rode to the east end and back. Our next ride will include Hwy 1 to Belle Terre Pkwy. Looking forward to another ride!
We parked at Humane Society Rd and did the whole trail. 90% is right next to the road so no fresh air - exhaust fumes instead. One section you have to bike on the road. We didn’t like that as the cars are going very fast, even though it’s supposed to be 35mph! There are pretty trees and quite a lot of shade, but I wouldn’t chose to ride this trail again anytime soon.
Anyone have an update on the completion of the Osteen Maytown Rd section.. The last time I rode that section part of it had the rock base on it and part still being cut through woods... Thanks Chris
Great trail with lots of shade. Parking at park by trailhead. Bathrooms were open during COVID in Jan. 2021. 2 covered pavilions, kids playground, basketball court, & water fountain at park. Water fountain & several benches on trail. Smooth paved trail. Crosses some streets but no traffic, clearly marked, wheel chair accessible.
Trail is scenic and very well maintained. Downtown Winter Springs a good place to stop for a snack or drink. Many parking options and clean restrooms. Look forward to riding this trail again.
We enjoy the Flagler trail - I personally have tumbled on the roots on every run but if you step higher or don’t mind a bit of dirt, it is a very pretty and easy flat run along the creek and through the tree canopies. You can easily get a 5, 10k or 1/2 marathon trail run in. Go during dry season. Also very nice for hybrid/dirt bikes or walks.
Cute little towns line the trail as it weaves in and out of locations. Not intended for someone trying to get in long continious miles. Several street crossings.
Great trail! Nice wide paved path perfect for road bikes. Nice rolling hills, enough to challenge your legs a little on the way up and then you can enjoy the quick pace on the way down. The guy that wrote the review about the figure eight path went to the wrong trail head... he was on a different path. I almost made the mistake by going to the path he wrote about but I’m glad I went to the trail at 3080 SE 80th, had a great ride there. Highly recommended!
“Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway”. 65-75 degrees no breeze crystal blue skies. Perfect Florida winter weather on a perfect Trail for a tandem. Start at Santos Trialhead for the round trip. Probably the best trail we’ve done in Florida. Part of the unfinished Coast to Coast greenway. Curvy and rolling, canopies. Perfect asphalt, but if you are into mountain bikes, there are probably a hundred miles of dirt trail offshoots.
Park at Blanchard park. The trail is asphalt and well maintained. Very scenic. Worth the ride.
