Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail

trail ride

September, 2025 by rgtg9mpg28

This trail is a hidden gem. Excellent ride to Lisbon today and back. 25 miles round trip give or take. I saw 9 deers and several brave squirrels darted around my tires. If you get a chance, ride this trail

Western Reserve Greenway

Sunside to Orwell

September, 2025 by vicki1960

Labor Day weekend, Sunside (Route 305 in Champion) to Orwell at Route 322 and back. 35 mile round trip. Beautiful day on the trail. Plenty of shade. Most of this section is wooded with a few working farms along the way. Trail is paved and there are some bumpy sections. We enjoyed our ride on this Holiday weekend.

Washington Reservation All Purpose Trail

Good connector trail

August, 2025 by davidmaggiehome

This short trail connects to other trails to make a loop from the Ohio and Erie trail. I started at Bacci park, north east to Garfield park, west on Morgana run. Then to this trail to Ohio and Erie connector. About a 18 mile loop.

Morgana Run Trail

Poorly maintained

August, 2025 by davidmaggiehome

Overgrown vegetation, trail has many bumps, west end of trail is detoured by freeway 77. Not a safe area either. Would be nice if the maintained this as it is a connector trail to Garfield and Washington trails that go to Ohio and Erie trail

MetroParks Bikeway

Rooty Section has been repaved

August, 2025 by vicki1960

Summer 2025 the rooty section of this trail has been repaved. It's very nice and smooth at approx mile markers 2-4. Though the about 1st mile still has a section of large cracks, it's definitely getting better! It was a cooler and cloudy day so we didn't notice too much this trail doesn't have a lot of shade. It actually rained a little during our ride though it was not in the forecast. Northern end connects with Niles Greenway. Southern end is in Canfield, across from the Canfield fairgrounds. An all around great trail, paved and approx 11 miles in length.

Sippo Valley Trail

Cool Summer Day

August, 2025 by davidmaggiehome

Been awhile since I rode this trail. Started at Ernie’s in Massillon and rode into Dalton. The trail has a noticeable incline going from East to West and the wind is typically from West to East. The 10+ bridges are in good shape. The trail has had some improvements but around the 3 mile mark after riding new asphalt the section of about 3/4 is somewhat bumpy The scenery is nice and both ends of trail have stopping places to eat

Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail

Ohio & Erie Towpath Trail. August 26, 2025.

August, 2025 by amy2paul

We are traveling and today was the only day we had to ride the trail. We entered at the Rockside Station and rode south. About 4 miles in, it started to rain off and on. We were sad because the forecast said 0% chance. Rode on for another few miles. By this time my husband's back was covered in mud from the wet trail and he was chilly, so we turned around and headed back. Total miles ridden was 17, so we only got a small portion but we loved it. So beautiful with yellow wildflowers all around. Informative historical signs tell you about the Erie Canal and life on the canal. Neat. I wish we could have ridden the train and then biked back, but we found out it doesn't run on Monday and Tuesday, and guess when we were here, yup Monday and Tuesday. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely ride it again!

Maple Highlands Trail

Wow! Great trail.

August, 2025 by brentandlynn

We rode this trail for the first time today. Started at the Tare Creek trailhead and rode north. Beautiful covered bridges along the way add to the scenic beauty. Most of the trail was easy riding. At the north side of Chardon is a hill we hadn’t expected. Stopped at the ballpark in Chardon where there is a nice historic display about the railroad in Chardon. We didn’t make the trail end-to-end, but did end up with 29.5 miles.

Shenango Trail

Summer Hike

August, 2025 by vicki1960

After weeks and weeks of record breaking temperatures, finally a break and a cooler day to head to the Shenango Trail. Very well shaded but a bit buggy being along the river. Still a great day for a hike and to spend time in the woods. After June flooding, and now a draught almost, the water level very low and muddy.

Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail

A biking favorite!

August, 2025 by khswy7bn2p

Nice, well maintained, and a variety of uses. We bike, but we have seen skaters, bikers, joggers, walkers, wagons, and strollers. The little covered bridge is a nice stop in Teegarden. Nice mix of shade and sun. Definitely recommend

Iron Horse Trail (Stark County)

Scenery: turtles, deer, chipmunks, birds, foliage

August, 2025 by khswy7bn2p

Nice trail close to home for us. On nice days we bike the trail to town, ending near water tower, stop and get a bite to eat and ride back to Cenfield. Pleasant and always see wildlife.

Heartland Trail

A work in progress

August, 2025 by davidmaggiehome

I am thankful for the reviews as I was able to ride the grassy section to add a few miles. I did the county line trail before this one, between the two I managed to do 20 miles with a 7 mile car ride between the trails. Maybe I will live long enough to see and ride the completion of this trail system.
