Olentangy Trail

Columbus Connector

Great way to get from Worthington to German Village and everywhere in between.

Richland B&O Trail

Beautiful Ride

June, 2018 by jdclark1282

Beautiful ride on a nice trail. Slightly uphill from Butler to Mansfield and downhill on the way back. The bike shop where I was planning to rehydrate was closed when I rolled back through, which made for a balmy 11 miles back to the car.

Mohican Valley Trail

absolutely gorgeous

June, 2018 by aaron.shaffer_tl

I rode this trail today and wow, it's beautiful. The trail is incredibly well maintained, but there was almost no one on it. It had few road crossings and I couldn't hear cars in any direction -- very remote, very peaceful, very relaxing! Green in every direction.

Camp Chase Trail

Nice flat trail but no tree cover...

June, 2018 by awalton70

Rode this trail starting at Battelle (parking at the first entrance south of Alkire Rd in a very small lot to the right after entering the park) rode 3 miles east into Galloway and stopped at the tavern to cool off and have a drink. All in all this stretch of the trail was uneventful. Fairly flat with a little incline here and there. During this stretch we crossed Darby Creek Dr, Alkire Rd, Alton Rd., and finally Galloway Rd to get to the tavern. We also crossed the railroad tracks a couple of times. The trail was nicely paved and well maintained, however, there is absolutely no tree cover at all so you are riding the whole time in the blazing sun.

Holmes County Trail

Danville to Bridge of Dreams to Gann Update

June, 2018 by meo

June 2018 - 3/4 mile from the Bridge of Dreams to the Holmes County trail start through the tunnel under Rt. 62 is... barely paved. Very poor condition, but you can get through. After that, it's a whole new world. Fresh pavement the whole way, fencing, plank railing enclosing the high bridges. Very quite, remote ride through mature forests. Long gradual incline and steep short incline mid trail and then short steep decline and long gradual descent into Gann. Port-o-John at Gann. Covered Shelter. 3.8 miles from Danville to Bridge of Dreams. 8.2 from there to Gann.

Blacklick Creek Greenway Trail

Closed Section

May, 2018 by mcbraemer

Trail looked promising from Pickerington Ponds going north towards Reynoldsburg. However after a few miles, and just north of Portman Park the trail is closed and apparently under MAJOR construction. Not trusting the safety of the nearby side streets to bypass the construction zone and get up to Refugee Rd by Hines Dr. I had to double back to the Ponds.

Holmes County Trail

A Beautiful Trail Through Amish Country

May, 2018 by orangedoug

The Holmes County Trail is part of the Ohio To Erie Trail trans-Ohio Route. I have ridden this trail several times. The southern section is a great addition as it takes cross Ohio riders off of the very busy U.S. 62 which one previously had to navigate as part of connecting the Mohican Valley Trail from the Bridge of Dreams to the northern section of the Holmes County Trail in Killbuck, OH. The trail north out of Killbuck is a wide paved path designed to accommodate both cyclists, pedestrians and Amish horse-drawn buggies. All that is needed is the gap between Glenmont and Killbuck to be completed and this will be a 5 star trail.

Heritage Rail-Trail

53 mins TnB

Good trail for biking. A great use for an older trail. Some roots are poking up at the end but generally smooth and flat

Camp Chase Trail

Great condition, lots of miles and not crowded

October, 2017 by 2cvmail

Great way to get in and out of the city, and it’s fairly scenic once you get outside the city. A rails w/trails, so it’s straight and flat and great for biking.

Camp Chase Trail is a new part of the 320 mile Ohio-to-Erie Trail, and this section is much less crowded than other popular bike trails in Columbus.

Wilson Road Park has seasonal bathrooms, a bike repair station and a water fountain, and there is also bike repair stations at Wilson Rd Park and at the base of the Hilltop Connector Bridge.

Columbus Westside Running Club maintains the Trail with monthly litter cleanups. Give it a try if you haven’t already!

Alum Creek Greenway Trail

Nice trail through metro areas

October, 2017 by fhunker

Very pretty trail from Westerville south to Three Creeks Park. A trail of bridges--more than other local trails for the distance travelled. So far, in good shape, but much of this trail is new so one would expect it to be. Far less traffic than the Olentangy Trail to the west, so for a north-south route in the metro Columbus area, hard to beat.

T. J. Evans Trail

Nice trail but road bikers beware

October, 2017 by fhunker

I have been on this trail three or four times this summer and fall, and many times over the past several years. I would rate this trail a 4-5 BUT on a road bike, will not be a smooth ride, and now developing some serious bumps, one of which west of Granville caught me off-guard and almost threw me off. Parts of the trail have been repaved-those sections are very nice compared to some that have not been repaved. There is a long uphill grade out of Granville to Johnstown, about 11 miles. Hopefully more of the trail will be repaved into 2018.

Buckeye Scenic Trail

Nice 11 mile round-trip

October, 2017 by fhunker

This trail runs north-south, with more uphill grade heading south than north. The first couple of miles from the north run through rural suburban areas, then through farmland further south. Most of the trail is lined with bushes and trees, not much exposed out in the farmland area, so there is some natural blocking of easterly or westerly wind. Trail surface good, I was out on a very nice Sunday morning, passed 2 bikers, a jogger and a few dog-walkers. Light use.
