June, 2019 by vikkb34

We rode 2 days 2 different sections. First day started at xenia station & rode to Corwin & then back. About 32-34 miles round trip.Ate lunch at a cute place in Waynsville right on trail.Pretty flat, nice scenery. Second day parked at Milford on hill. Little tight ,small parking lot. We rode to almost morrow. 40 miles round trip. VERY busy. Some parts are alittle narrow.Pretty flat mostly & some inclines. Loveland was a really cool town. Had a great lunch there.

Little Miami Scenic Trail

Love This Trail

June, 2019 by bryan.pitts

My wife and I bike this trail multiple times throughout the year and we've ridden (in sections) nearly every mile of it. We're leisure riders, so the (mostly) flat, shaded nature of this trail is perfection. There are so many spots along this trail to stop and enjoy life.

From the Milford trailhead, 50 West Brewing and the Schoolhouse Restaurant are just a short ride. Additionally, downtown Milford is full of charm

Downtown Loveland is an amazing spot to hit this trail, with an entire section of town seemingly centered on the trail with multiple restaurants, bars, bike shops, etc. Just to the north of Loveland is the Monkey Bar which is an extremely cool little watering hole. And a little farther to the north, the historic Peters Cartridge Company, which is slated for renovation into a brewery/taproom in late 2019.

If you're not able to bike as far north as Yellow Springs, we highly recommend driving up for a ride there. It's a very cool little town with the Yellow Springs Brewery right on the trail and the Glen Helen Nature Preserve just to the south. It is well worth parking your bikes and taking a hike through the preserve to visit the famous Yellow Spring.

Just can't say enough good things about this trail.

Great skating trail

May, 2019 by schn09

One of the best trails for inline skating in the Columbus area. The open farmland keeps the trail mostly free from leaves, sticks and other “hazards “. It has only a few crossroads.

Westerville B&W

A model network

April, 2019 by jmk355

Rode more sections of the Ohio to Erie Trail today and loved the options I found in Westerville. This network of trails is well marked and takes you to a wide variety of areas with very little road riding. I only missed one turn all day and found the I covered a lot of ground and got to see a large swath of the Westerville community. If only other suburban trail systems could be so well integrated.

Simon Kenton Trail

Northern Stretch of the Simon Kenton Trail

April, 2019 by smnartker

My bike riding partner and I enjoy riding the trail from Bellefontaine, the northern part, but it is challenging on the rough stone path really meant for erosion protection of the rails. It is too bad that this part of the trail hasn't been developed yet except for 3 miles at the beginning in Bell. If this what the finished trail will look like, it will be great! The stretch from Bell to W Liberty is beautiful and full of wildlife. Only a short way out of Bell one will encounter Deer, Wild Turkey, Rabbits, and enough birds to satisfy any avian enthusiast! Looking forward to the completion of the trail!

Heart of Ohio Trail

Centerburg to Mt. Vernon

April, 2019 by cooltuck7

Did Centerburg to Mt. Vernon on this trail today. Beautiful day, beautiful trail with spring in full bloom ¿¿. There was a big tree that had fallen and was crossing the entire path not too for Centerburg so as long as you can carry your bike you can pass. I didn’t realize I was going downhill until the way back and it was definitely a long incline but doable. I stopped @ lunch for Barbs diner in Mt. Vernon for lunch. Not bad diner food, friendly staff. Plenty of parking in Centerburg and there is a trailhead about midway with parking as well.

Invest in Signs that Denote the Trail

March, 2019 by enialesirrah

All of the trails I have walked thus far has signs posted. This trail had none. My friend, my dog and I walked along a busy road that had dotted yellow lines that ended at a corner of shopping center in front of a pharmacy. We returned to Hanner Park to our car but not before we walked just up and down the street facing the park trying to find out where the trail is.

The State of Ohio put a chain link fence across trail and a criminal traspassing beyond this point sign. We went back to car and drove overto the east trail head and walked in 2.5 miles and turned around. bill n tina.

Paint Creek Recreational Trail

pleasant surprise

October, 2018 by jmk355

I rode from WCH to Hopewell Mounds and back (50 mi) and found the trail to be very enjoyable, scenic and worth doing. The trickiest part is navigating the portion where the trail winds through multiple industrial parks and then dumps you on Robinson Rd for a stretch. Had the map noted there is parking lot by Shaw Wetlands- the place where you turn off the street, it would have been the ideal starting point. Please add. I note that if you magnify that area significantly the parking is noted in blue. You wouldn’t know unless you are searching for it. Otherwise very enjoyable

Buck Creek Trail (OH)

Can Be Quite Windy Around the Reservoir.

October, 2018 by orangedoug

I like this trail quite a bit. There were a number of interesting things to see along the route -- the Clarence J. Brown dam and reservoir, Old Reid Park, the Springfield Art Museum, Veterans Park Amphitheatre, and Wittenberg University. The trail surface is well maintained and I did not see any poor conditions or concerns that were expressed in a previous review. Getting across the dam on the Engineers Road was a challenge due to a very strong headwind. The trail seemed pretty quite for a Thursday afternoon, but that might have been because of the recent change in the weather that put a chill in the air. I saw a number of cyclists out by the reservoir but not a one on my way into, nor back from Springfield. There were a number of pedestrians I passed by in town. I think that this trail probably gets a lot of use in the summer.

Since this trail intersects with the Simon Kenton Trail I will be back in the area once again. I did see one sign that stated if you wanted to connect with the Little Miami River Trail follow the signs, but I did not see any signs suggesting an actual route. In fact, I would not have known that the one bridge over the Buck Creek trail actually carried the Simon Kenton Trail at all if not for the fact that there was one small spur off of the trail near this bridge that I decided to explore. There definitely needs to be better signage to and from all connecting trails in this town.
