Conewago Recreation Trail

Lots of shade on this trail. Downed trees noted in an earlier review have been cleared. Could really use some fine gravel over much of the trail. Watch the crossing at Route 743. Cars are flying. Steep grades on either side of the former tressel.

Union Canal Trail

Not for Seniors

Trail is very hilly and crushed stone is not good for hybrids. Shame because the trail looked like it was very picturesque if we could go further.

Union Canal Trail

No pets

If I could give it a zero, I would. That goes for any place (with the exception of animal preserves) that does not allow dogs. Dogs are not allowed at any of Berks county recreational parks except Antietam Lake.

Northwest Lancaster County River Trail

How to control the Hamsters.

July, 2021 by g.treisb

The 'newly' paved section is great.

I think the paving will slow down the traffic on that section of the trail.

For a paved trail... It's rough. Was it planned that way? If it wasn't you should ask for a refund from the paving company.

Back Mountain Trail

not a quiet trail

July, 2021 by imdromeara

If you are looking for a trail with ambiance, this is not it. Unfortunately it’s placed above and next to a very busy road creating a lot of traffic noise. This trail is also not a loop, so you will have to turn around and walk back, through the noise of traffic. Probably a great trail for the local neighborhood but not one I will go back to from outside the area.
