American River Parkway (Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail)

Awesome trail!

February, 2024 by qk58jcpmdw

We really enjoyed this trail! Great views with lots of places to stop. And plenty of restrooms. We went during the week and there were a lot of people out there. I can imagine it gets pretty crowded on the weekends. But, we would definitely ride this one again.

Miners Ravine Trail

My Perfect Trail

December, 2023 by sfdrummer

I’m from out of town and was looking for a trail on which we could walk our little dog. I was hoping for something flat, safe, well-maintained, and devoid of poison oak. This trail was all of that, with extra bonuses of wide pavement and absolutely gorgeous surroundings. All of us, including my dog, loved it. We’ll be coming back whenever we visit.

Campground with access to awesome trail!!

Loved this all paved trail! Both great for bikers and hikers! Several beautiful bridges to cross and medium level ability on mountain bikes as there are a few good hills. Gets your heart running!!

Johnny Cash Trail

“…and it burned, burned, burned…” my legs oh fire.

February, 2022 by kw99fyq8rg

I thoroughly enjoyed this trail. The ride up the hill is quite the workout. You will feel it in your legs. When you hit the top, the views are breathtaking. Beautiful views of green pastures toward Folsom Prision. The ride back down the hill is so freakin fun. It was a blast from beginning to end. ***Word to the wise, I’m not sure this is a good trail for kids. It’s pretty tough for the first 1/3 of the trail and the ride down hill really picks up quickly.

Paradise Memorial Trailway

Just a heads up that this town basically burnt to the ground a few years back. They are rebuilding, but all these amenities listed may no longer exist.

American River Parkway (Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail)

Go-to locale for bike riding throughout the year

January, 2022 by jerrbeck

My wife and I have cycled in many scenic places in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Mexico. Some of these trips have been 3-months long, but when we return to the ARBT we are amazed at how spectacular it can be throughout the entire year. We are fortunate to be able to ride almost every day of the year in Sacramento and the ARBT certainly facilitates our riding throughout the entire Sacramento area.
