Courtney Campbell Trail

easy and enjoyable

August, 2017 by beckasdream

We chose this as our first trail as new recreational bikers. It was great; nice view, flat trail that is usually nice and wide. Coming from Cypress Point Park I would agree the first section was a little bumpy and not as wide as I would like (with the chance or oncoming bikers). But once you get to the actual causeway portion it's a super comfortable and relaxing ride.

Some Sections do not feel Safe

August, 2017 by mmccolley

This trail is OK. I ride it every summer from the Target Parking Lot North. Rode it once South and East into St Pete, but did not feel safe from Central Ave to Tropicana Field. Downtown was really fun. But I returned back on 1st Ave North.

Withlacoochee State Trail

July, 2017 by mjbunny

I learned the trail is not patrolled by law enforcement making escape from an attack impossible. My bicycle was destroyed and I was severely beaten by two bearded bicycle riders I never encountered before. Can be a dangerous ride.

Gainesville-Hawthorne State Park Trail

Nice and Serene!

July, 2017 by crowculbertson

I parked up at Depot Park and rode down to Rochelle and back. I had entertained parking down at Boulware Springs Park but got there in early morning and for some reason did not feel comfortable leaving my car there (safe?). I found the terrain easier on my return from Rochelle (east) as I could build momentum to climb hills. I then drove to Hawthorne and rode the west end of the trail out and back. The trail is undergoing resurface with fresh asphalt in areas on west side of trail. If they complete this resurface end to end up to Depot Park it will be wonderful. From Depot Park it is somewhat confusing to find the leg out of the park to a connector trail to GHSPT. As I interpret the GHSPT would terminate at Boulware Springs Park with a DT connector up to Depot Park and into downtown. Confusing for me given unfamiliarity of the area. All in all a great ride!

I'm always looking for food on this trail. I found a great smoothie and wrap place on trail. It is juicy's juice bar. It is right off the trail on Powell.

Archer Braid Trail

Longer than what is shown on the map

July, 2017 by larryvaughn

At the east end, the paved trail continues north to Haile Plantation at SW 46th Ave/Haile Blvd. and east to SW 75th street. Plans are for it to continue through Celebration Pointe, a shopping area next to I-75. That area is under construction now.

Nice straight trail, the part through Haile Plantation is shaded and attractive.

Jacksonville-Baldwin Rail-Trail

Tried the trail for the first time in July...hot! What a nice trail! Be very careful at road crossings. Great facilities and interesting stops along the way.

Four Freedoms Trail

Four Freedoms Trail Review

July, 2017 by jon erickson

I rode this trail on July 14, 2017. I should have believed the reviews. The trail is in severe neglect and you should not attempt to ride it on a road bike. I suffered a flat at mile 10.5. The trail north of Pineta is in the worse shape. Many tree root upheavals. Lots of debris from tree limbs. At approximately 3 miles south of Pineta I encountered a fallen tree blocking further progress on the trail. I was required to dismount and walk on private property to get around the fallen tree. It looked to have been there more than a couple of days. It was obvious that this trail is not maintained on a regular basis. I will not return. Too many other good trails in Florida to waste time on this one. Ride this one at your own risk...
