Old Soncy Trail

The Old Soncy Trail is abandoned. What’s left is full of grass and weeds. It extends about a mile from a non-existent parking area to a new highway around North Amarillo. We tried to ride it, but was met by a nice officer who told us to leave. We went back to the Rock Island Trail for a nice ride.

I was pleasantly surprised by this trail. Almost the entire trail is covered with trees like a boulevard with a stream on one side and upscale homes on the other. There are two points where you have to cross the street, but the trail is well marked on the street and I never felt unsafe.

DeKalb Trace

Not worth your travel time. Trail is non-existent. Drove an hour to check it out and never got the bike off the carrier. An enjoyable drive through Texas and Oklahoma is all we got out of it. Should not list this "trail".
